What is it:

Honeysuckle and Forsythia (Yin Qiao Tang) is a popular and useful remedy to have on hand in your medicine cabinet. Take it as soon as you feel the first signs of a cold or flu coming on. Symptoms this formula addresses may include relatively high acute-onset fever, headache, painful sore throat**, thirst/dry throat, and dry cough.

IMPORTANT: This formula has to be taken within 24-48 hours of the onset of the symptoms for it to be effective. After that, different formulas should be used depending on how the presentation of symptoms changes.

** my personal favorite formula for this is Andrograhis formula (Chuan Xin Lian Tang), which can be used concurrently with Yin Qiao if necessary.

    What is it good for:

    • acute on-set fever
    • headache
    • sore throat
    • common cold & flu

    Traditional Chinese medicine benefits:

    • release exterior
    • clear heat
    • remove toxins

What else you might like to know:

It is important to understand that Chinese herbs work by restoring balance to the body. This means that you usually have to take an herb or a formula for a longer period of time than you would with pharmaceuticals in order to get results-- usually at least a month, and often times longer than that... it all depends on the individual and the nature of the ailment being addressed.

Ingredients: Lonicera flower (Jin yin hua), Forsythia fruit (Lian qiao), Platycodon root (Jie geng), Burdock fruit (Niu bang zi), Fermented soybean (Dan dou chi), Phragmites root-- fresh juice (Lou gen (xian)), Licorice root (Gan cao), Lophatherum herb (Dan zhu ye), Schitzonepeta herb (Jing jie), Field mint (Bo he)

    Directions for use:

    Shake Well before each use.

Maintenance Serving: Dissolve 1-2 droppers (1/2 tsp.) in warm water or juice 2-3 times daily.

Augmented Serving: Take 1 full tsp. 2 to 3 times daily in warm water or juice or as directed by a qualified herbalist familiar with the use of Chinese herbs and formulas.

To evaporate alcohol place in hot water.

    Dosage for Pets

Administer as per your veterinarian's guidance, adjusting dosage to match your pet's size and specific needs.

Typically given as a daily supplement, this works best when integrated into a holistic health plan.

One dropper full equals 1/4 tsp.
