What is it?:

Chronic gastric problems are usually correlated to the presence of too many unwanted microbes (e.g. bacteria, fungi, parasites, etc...) that throw off the usual balance between "good" & "bad" gut flora.

Over time these colonies of unwanted gut micro-organisms can become entrenched and form a biofilm, which is made up of extracellular polymers that act like a glue and create a physical barrier which protects them from being detected and removed by the immune system. This product is formulated to provide help in breaking down this protective layer as a potential first step in a protocol designed to restore a healthy & balanced gut biome.

Please note that this formula will not "cure" any particular gut disease (e.g. leaky gut or chronic gastritis) but rather should be used at the beginning of a gut flora restoration protocol for as long as it takes to breakup the biofilm; its use should then be discontinued and other herbs/supplements/interventions should take its place. How long this takes will vary in each individual case (depending on the severity of the biofilm) and we recommend determining this duration in consult with your physician.

Using this formula safely:

  • This is a short-term use formula, as both Uva Ursi & Wild Indigo are contraindicated for long term use.
  • Wild Indigo contains quinolizine alkaloids, which can build up in the liver to toxic levels with long term usage. Short term use of this formula should not be problematic for healthy individuals, but those with liver problems should not use it.
  • Oak bark contain salicylates and so those with an allergy should not use this formula; do not use if aspirin irritates your stomach.
  • Do not use while pregnant
  • The herbs in this formula can potentially irritate the stomach and create a bit of nausea, so use with caution and awareness, especially at first.

What is it good for:

  • breaking up and polymers that make up biofilm
  • helping the body excrete the ensuing metabolic waste products
